Terms of Service

Artifacta Inc. — incorporated in the State of Texas, United States

Principal address: 5900 Balcones Drive, Ste 100, Austin, Texas 78731, United States

Last updated: 2026-04-13

These Terms govern your use of Artifacta — our API, CLI, Python SDK, and web dashboard at app.artifacta.io. Read them. They’re short.

Governing law. The laws of the State of Texas, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, govern these Terms and any dispute related to the service, except where mandatory consumer or other laws of your jurisdiction apply and cannot be waived.

Venue. Except where prohibited by applicable law, you and Artifacta Inc. agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Texas for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service. (If we later add arbitration, this section will be updated to match.)

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, generating an API key, or uploading an artifact, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you’re using Artifacta on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.

2. What Artifacta provides

Artifacta is a hosted artifact store designed for AI agent pipelines: a REST API, CLI (pip install artifacta-cli), Python SDK, and web dashboard for storing, retrieving, and sharing build artifacts and agent outputs. The service is operated by Artifacta Inc. and hosted on Supabase, Cloudflare R2, Vercel, and Railway.

Reads (downloads, list, inspect) are never blocked by quota — only writes are. We may change plan limits or pricing on 30 days’ notice.

4. Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Blatant abuse (e.g. CSAM, active attacks) will be terminated immediately without notice.

5. API key & account security

Your API keys are your responsibility. We show you the plaintext key once at creation and then store only a SHA-256 hash — we cannot recover a lost key. If a key is exposed:

  1. Revoke it in the dashboard at app.artifacta.io/dashboard/keys immediately.
  2. Rotate any downstream systems that used it.
  3. We treat all traffic authenticated by a valid ak_live_ key as authorized by you, and you are responsible for usage, quota, and any content uploaded under that key.

Keep your account email secure — Google OAuth, GitHub OAuth, or password-based access to your email mailbox effectively grants access to your account.

6. Billing, cancellation & refunds

7. Intellectual property

8. Limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Artifacta Inc. disclaims all warranties (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement) and is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the service is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD.

You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of artifacts you cannot afford to lose.

9. Termination

Your right to terminate. You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. Cancelling a Pro subscription is covered in §6; deleting your account is covered in the Privacy Policy §7 (7-day grace period, then permanent removal).

Our right to terminate. We may suspend or terminate your access with or without notice if you breach these Terms (including §4 Prohibited uses), if required by law, or if we reasonably believe your use creates a security or legal risk to Artifacta or other users. For non-abuse terminations, we will make a good-faith effort to give you notice and a chance to export your data.

Effect of termination. Your license to use the service and our license to host your artifacts both end. Sections that by their nature should survive — IP ownership, liability limits, indemnification, and governing law — survive termination.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Artifacta Inc. and its officers, employees, and agents from any third-party claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of: (a) content you upload or share through the service, (b) your violation of these Terms or applicable law, or (c) your infringement of any third-party right. We will promptly notify you of any such claim and cooperate in its defense at your expense.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email to your account address and by updating the “Last updated” date above at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new Terms. If you don’t accept, cancel your account before the effective date.
